Freight is such a big factor in forage costs.

3cent or 60/ton hay here would cost 100/ton to move 1000 miles.

Too bad Kansas is 1500 miles. The cost per ton would be 150 plus the 60, is 210/ton

Close to the gouge thy neighbor prices .

Sell the cows or move them to the feed. They eat 2 % of body weight a day,300 days is 6 times their weight.

You can’t feed a drought. I KNOW 1 year is ok, 2 will level you, and 3 you leave the farm.
