The Animal Agriculture and Water Quality (AAWQ) subcommittee is seeking comments on its recent public meetings and to inform its overall directive, which is to “provide recommendations that will inform EPA’s decisions regarding how to improve the implementation of the Clean Water Act National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation permitting program to more effectively reduce nutrients and other types of water pollutants from Animal Feeding Operations.” This is a significant opportunity to voice your concerns about the inadequacy of the current NPDES permitting program.
