Congressional Appropriators Support a Level Playing Field for Contract Farmers

Hey, Mike, Congressional Appropriators….. did not post correctly on your blog. The article wasn’t there.
I am somewhat concerned if the regulations allowed as enforceable will truly benefit the growers, or if only a political maneuver to satisfy the powers involved. I find it very strange all the larger poultry production companies were talking about at one time was how bad these regulations would be for the industry, and how much it would end up costing. Since the regulations have been moved forward to the USDA for implementation, not one word have I read or heard from the major poultry production companies concerning this issue. What has changed to bring about this closed-mouth action, when before they were so vocal in opposing these regulations? Could it be their lobbyist has informed them of information detailing how their concerns have been worked out, and not to worry; my guess is only time will tell?
